Dr. Ngô Thế Vinh is deeply interested in measures that protectthe ecosystem of the Mekong and the Mekong Delta. He hascollected a wealth of precious data concerning the more than4,800 kilometerlong Mekong current flowing from Tibet tothe East Sea. Many of his articles written with a heartfeltstyle have been published to provide readers in Vietnamas well as overseas with useful information concerningnot only the early construction stages of the dams in theMekong Cascades of Yunnan but also about the calamitiesthat the 14 dams in this Cascades may wreak on that river’secology affecting the tens of millions of people who inhabitits banks.
